Victoria Kesinger, a Juvenile Probation Officer, will share how she turned a passion for cooking into an innovative life-skills program for youth in the juvenile justice system. Inspired by her own cooking videos, she launched a hands-on cooking class in 2025 to teach practical skills, build confidence, and create positive connections with young people ages 10–17. Thanks to generous support from H-E-B, the program has expanded beyond its original scope, providing multiple four-day sessions that participants enthusiastically embrace. Victoria will discuss the impact the program is making and how early intervention through mentorship and life skills can help change the trajectory of at-risk youth.
